Purpose of position

  • The position is responsible for the delivery of the Installation projects to maximize revenue, margin and quality.
  • Maximise on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis the revenue & margins, including NRM, of the Install contracts
  • The focus of this role is to ensure operational targets are achieved

Specific knowledge

  • Good understanding of Project Management methodology and delivery, preferably within a security environment
  • Understanding of Commercial installation contracts and their management, to deliver on time whilst maximizing profitability
  • Experience of revenue and install margin maximisation
  • Delivery of multiple ongoing projects

Professional experience

Extensive experience of managing large or multiple projects, delivering a wide variety of projects in terms of value, size, complexity & geography across a diverse range of disciplines. A very strong commercial focus to ensure projects are delivered on budget, on time and to agreed quality standards. Strong knowledge of relevant Contracts Management Frameworks to ensure project margins are maximised at all times without compromising on quality. Experience of financial/resource forecasting and planning to anticipate future requirements and to mitigate risk.

Major responsibilities

  • Review of contractual requirements prior to Project initiation to ensure delivery against time, cost and quality
  • Identify, mitigate and manage risks associated with project delivery
  • Management of all ongoing projects to maximise revenue and NRM generation
  • To coordinate and liaise with a team of technical project managers, engineers and the wider project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, assign and check work completed
  • Management of stakeholder communication including weekly reporting on project progress and financial performance
  • To ensure relevant and effective communication is maintained with customers at all times
  • Support the sales team with quotations and project planning and analysis as and when required
  • Coordinate with technical project managers/sub-contractors to identify resource requirements to meet project needs
  • Follow agreed process and documentation for management of projects, including variations, WOA’s and lessons learnt
  • Attend all relevant project meetings as and when required
  • Commercial and Financial Accountability - Forecasts spend and revenue profiles, seeking approval as and when necessary from senior managers where projects deviate from plan
  • Day to day management of staff, including assessments and appraisals on a regular basis
  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures, identifying areas of risk and reporting any faults to the appropriate department.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to support the needs of the business
  • Any other duties as reasonably required by the business

Vetting

Our vetting is carried out by a third party and is in line with current industry requirements. Security vetting involves the following: 5 year full employment history check, Disclosure Scotland (formerly CRB) check (for convictions not classed as spent under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act) , 2 character referees, a financial sanctions check (relating to any active CCJ’s – County Court Judgements, bankruptcy or IVA’s) that are active, and finally a terrorist check.
